DISCLOSURE: I am not a raging feminist hating on Laraque’s pathetic little commercial for whatever horrible product he is promoting. I could care less. I think there are far more pressing matters to address and that if these feminist groups really wanted to make a difference, they would lay off the trivial pursuit of who can whine the loudest and help women actually in need — but that’s for another story at another time.

I just wanted to make a quick & painless entry to mention a fellow female twitterer – sweetestofdekes. A fellow blogger, Kathryn “Teka” England posted something over a week ago to which I didn’t pay too much attention at the time of publication; however, after discovering the awful truth behind it (and the culprit who inspired it), I could not help but share it with you all.

If you are an intelligent, confident woman who is passionate about hockey, I believe you will enjoy her post. She talks about a cancer plaguing the world of female hockey fans/bloggers – a cancer in the form of too much makeup, too much free time and dangerously too little self-esteem. Read The Infection here. You can even contribute to the advancement of the cause of intelligent female hockey fans/bloggers by adding to her repertoire of Female Hockey Bloggers/Twitters/ETC.

The blog is called Talk Hockey To Me. The author’s in-progress masters’ thesis is called “Talk Hockey To Me: Female Fans and Men’s Ice Hockey”.

and people… please help control the population of puck bunnies by having them spayed or neutered.
